Russell has been involved in all aspects of the business advisory field since 1985 with several years experience at Coopers & Lybrand before joining WHK Wellington in 1992. He has a vast cross section of skills and works extensively with a wide range of clients providing commercial and practical advice.
He has specific expertise across numerous trades based industries as well as the motor vehicle and hospitality industries. Outside of his comprehensive tax and compliance knowledge he specialises in management accounting and KPI's, business benchmarking, financial analysis, budgeting & cash flow advice, business startups, business acquisitions, feasibility studies and business structures.
He has also had significant involvement in systems and process design, development and implementation, particularly with regards to financial reporting systems.
Russell believes that key components of developing, growing and maintaining a successful business include having the tools, systems and sound proactive advisers alongside to ensure good information is available to assist with making positive business decisions. .
