James Fensom
Associate Principal
James is a specialist advisory services associate at WHK.
James has a tremendous range of skills and experience gained initially through traditional business advisory, internal and external audit and IT consulting assignments. More latterly this experience has grown through other consulting roles and his Board Advisory roles, where he has assisted clients on financial restructuring (through debt, equity and participatory securities), sale and acquisition, restructuring or outsourcing operations and working closely to grow shareholder wealth.
Prior to joining WHK James gained his experience working for Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton and his own consultancy company.
James is frequently utilised by the media and government economic development agencies both in New Zealand and Australia to provide strategic input into issues impacting the business community. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and is currently on the working group of the quasi Government & Industry, ‘Business Capability Partnership', building a Business Benchmarking Framework for all New Zealand businesses.
