You might have noticed that since our most recent name change in July last year, we also acquired a brand new tagline Better Advice for a Better Life. This is something we as a firm believe in and take it so seriously that our focus for 2010 will be to make this a part of our everyday business.

By helping you be more successful in your activities, we are able to provide you with the ‘Better Life'. We do this by understanding your circumstances and delivering our services, giving you the ‘Better Advice'.

I thought it only appropriate to highlight some of the initiatives we are currently offering here that support the above and are in addition to our usual accounting services:

• Profit Optimiser - This is a superb tool we've got available that enables you to manage the key trigger points in your business to generate more profit and cash flows.
• Carbon Footprint Measurement and Management - We have recently joined forces with Offset The Rest to help our clients measure and manage their carbon footprint. We became a carbon conscious company in  November last year and felt that this is something many of our clients might benefit from.
• Information Systems - We've also got a specialist team available to provide you with professional advice on a range of accounting and payroll software.
• Learning & Development - Our training division focuses exclusively on working with you to support your training needs, whether it is for technical training or professional development.
• Seminar Programme - This year we have an extensive seminar programme on offer with a combination of non-accounting related matters and technical topics that we think you will need to know about in terms of risk and growth. They are free events and will be advertised on our website www.whk.co.nz
