Your presenter - Kate Wilson, Partner, James & Wells
A registered Patent Attorney , Kate has over twenty years experience in the intellectual property industry. She specialises in devising intellectual property strategies for New Zealand exporters, working with international portfolios coordinating the filing and prosecution of patent and design rights across many jurisdictions. 

Kate is the editor and instigator of the "Inventors' Guide to Success" publication, and is also a contributing author to Brookers' Intellectual Property on-line text and the Intellectual Property Guide for the Life Sciences in New Zealand prepared for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Kate gives talks throughout the country to universities, research organisations, conferences and other businesses on intellectual patent strategy and is an honorary lecturer at the Waikato University.

On the personal side, Kate lives on a lifestyle block with her husband and two teenage children, is an enthusiastic amateur cook (having published her cookbook Platter Chatter), keen gardener and a very amateur artist."
